The Center for Hybrid Intelligence is an interdisciplinary team of researchers and practitioners from physics, computer science, human-computer interaction, management, economics, psychology, cognitive science, art history, and creativity studies exploring digital interfaces that facilitate collaboration between humans and AI algorithms. We are located at the Department of Management at Aarhus BSS (Aarhus University).

We are searching for student developers for one or more of the following tasks:

  1. Web development:

  • writing well-developed and testable code using vue.js
  • developing web components for web applications
  • working with our development team
  Required Skills
  Applicants must:
  • have experience with Vue.js component development
  • have experience with JavaScript, node.js, HTML, CSS, Vue.js
  • have a basic understanding of Git
  • be open, curious, and willing to ask questions
  • preferably have worked with tailwind CSS


 2. Backend Maintenance:

  • analyse and maintain backend systems
Required Skills
Applicants must:
  • have experience with managing services on ubuntu virtual machines
  • have experience with JavaScript, node.js
  • have a basic understanding of Git
  • be open, curious, and willing to ask questions
  • preferably have worked with Docker and Azure


3. Data science:

  • data acquisition planning
  • verification and debugging of research data from our games
  • data analysis and modeling of data with advanced Machine learning methods, often requiring custom-made architectures.
  • be open, curious, and willing to ask questions
Required Skills
Applicants must:
  • have experience with Python, NumPy, SQL, Jupyter Notebook
  • have a basic understanding of Git
  • familiarity with basic statistical methods
  • be open, curious, and willing to ask questions

Who we are

The Department of Management is one of the six departments at Aarhus BSS- one of the five faculties at Aarhus University. Aarhus BSS unites the business and social science-related research fields and brings them closer together to reflect the close relationship between society and the business community. As part of a Top 100 university, Aarhus BSS and the Department of Management have achieved the distinguished AASCB, AMBA and EQUIS accreditations.

The department’s research and teaching environment is highly international and culturally diverse with a mix of Danish and international academic staff members and PhD students. We employ more than 160 academic staff including researchers, PhD students, research associates and cover a broad range of disciplines within management, e.g. marketing, international business, organization, HR, strategy, management accounting, innovation management, entrepreneurship, project management, and information systems. We aim to conduct high-quality research, and we give high priority to publishing our research in leading academic journals and presenting it at recognised conferences. In addition, we have a dynamic exchange of international researchers, who stay at the department for short or long periods of time.

The expected starting date is 15 September 2023 or subject to mutual agreement. The average working hours are 15 hours weekly.

Requirements and terms

Salary and terms as agreed between the Danish Ministry of Taxation and PROSA.
